Truly Wicker-ed

Huge ornate chests. Neat laundry baskets. Cozy chairs. Garden tee-pees. Handy trays.. All in wonderful wicker and rattan.

If you're looking for a new feature for your home, we say go for wicker and rattan. There is something about a piece of wicker or rattan furniture that has an element of je ne sais quoi. The twisting of each length, the rough textures, and the nautical vibe it sends out has us ooh-ing and ahh-ing everytime.

Large rattan chest... $395.00

No more vulnerable vino..

After a long day at work sometimes all you feel like is a glass of wine. How many times have you opened a bottle of your favourite vino before realising you were not going to finish the whole bottle?

Enter winesave.

winesave allows you to enjoy your sneaky glass or two of wine and then pop it away for several weeks after it has first been opened. Containing a pure, inert and odourless gas called argon (which is heavier than air), winesave is applied with a simply one-second spray and pushes the air up and out of the bottle preventing the oxidisation of the wine.

This is a purely natural method to preserve wine that has been tried, tested and approved by some of the industry's most notable international winemakers, and with no propellants, hydrocarbons or additives used.. what's there to lose?

winesave is available in store now!

Flat out fabulous!

These flat out bears are just too irresistable for words.. Made from 100% Australian sheepskin they are unbelievably soft and cute as a button. Their soft wool and flat shape make them perfect for newborns or busy toddlers and have found their way into the arms of many famous bubs with TomKat, Brangelina, and Princess Mary all big fans of these tiny teddies.

These little cuties are available in honey, latte, chocolate, black and milk, and in both a large ($49.95) and small size ($35.95).

A pocket full of posies...

The warmer weather this week tricked us into thinking it was summer again. The sunny days and balmy nights forced us to retire our woolly scarves and comfy winter wardrobe prematurely and dust off our t-shirts and shorts for another innings.

It also inspired us to fill our latest lust-after vase with beautiful flowers from the garden.

How gorgeous do these silver bud vases look snaked across our table with fragrant fresh flowers. (Apologies for the dark photo!)

A fun game to play both inside and out, Duck Hunter is a game of skill allowing the players just 30 seconds to successfully shoot the duck three times, each hit causing it to stutter and flutter around.

Going Troppo...

When George Kyprianou and Kylie Brammy purchased a tiny, dark cottage on the edge of the Adelaide parklands ten years ago, it was clear that the 3 bedroom home was in desperate need of some TLC. This months theAdelaide*magazine featured the newly renovated and "...well-considered structural surprise.." amongst their glossy pages.

The brilliant and naturally lit extension (courtesy of Phil Harris of Troppo Architects) combines raw materials such as glass, timber, and concrete to provide a perfect canvas for the couple's mix of eclectic and travel-inspired pieces of furniture.

We are loving the rough textures of the knitted scatter cushions that bring warmth to the tough-look sofa and built in window seat. Not to mention the rustic dining table and chairs that are a stand out in the couple's living space (if only we all had such a fabulous and sentimental setting from our family homes).
